Bicycle helmets and child seats are booked separately.
Family bike with space for two children under 8 years old and child seats available. However, we do not have children's and youth bicycles, as there are no continuous lanes of separated cycle paths in Lysekil.
NB! Limited staffed pick up hours (The bike depot is mostly unmanned, except for the start and end of guided activities).
ATTENTION! Limited availability of bicycles on certain days due to larger bookings, e.g. in connection with cruise calls July 23rd and 24th and august 30,31 and September 1st.
- To see available bikes: click on BOOK NOW and select a date, the pick-up and drop-off time(s) and number of available bikes in each price category/type will be displayed
- Only the free options on a certain day and time are displayed at the time of booking. This means that if it is not possible to book, there are no bikes available in that category at that time. Try another type of bike, another time or day instead.
- There is no binding booking until you have entered the card number and checked out the shopping basket.
How to book
- Select date
- Choose between full day, early half day, late half day (or 24/SEVERAL days)
- Select category/type of bike and number of each type
- Enter at least one phone number for one person per booking so that we can reach you during your stay in Lysekil.
- Check out the shopping cart (secure payment solution via TrekkSoft/TrekkPay) and complete the payment of your order/reservation.
Please note that we have limited opening hours in our kayak and bicycle depot, at Norra Hamngatan 6 in Lysekil. Map below. If you are running late, we can place booked bikes on the outside and send you a lock code via SMS/text message.
Tip:
Cycling with a guide
- You will find us a 10 minutes walk from bus stop: Lysekil Södra Hamnen. Västtrafik, bus 841 from Gothenburg/Uddevalla.
- Local bus 853 to bus stops Gamlestan or Norra Hamnen. (You will find us between these to stops)
- Plan your trip with regional and local buses: Västtrafik (buses 851, 852 and 854 may also work)
Highlights
- 3 speed/gears with foot break (rear) and hand break (front wheel).
- Ladies bikes = net to prevent long clothes jamming the spokes.
- 21 speed/gears with hand breaks (front and rear wheels). 51 cm frame or 48 cm (youth/short adults).
- Family bikes 21 speed/gears for one adult and 1-2 children 8 yrs or younger.
