A winter season kayak tour with guide can be magical!
Going thru thin sheets of ice on a sunny day is a marvellous experience. Lysekil's harbours are almost always free of ice, but we may find it in a remote bay. Imagine crystal clear waters and no noise! Marvel at the pristine seascape of the Swedish west coast.
Theme: Fishermen and friends (called FISKAREN in Swedish)
Some times a curious seal will follow our tracks - observing us. The guide will tell you more about fishermen, seals and life along the rugged coastline throughout the tour. And during a short break on some distant isle you will be served hot fish soup while stretching your legs.
- Usually the tour goes Saturday morning. If the weather does not allow this, the tour can be moved to Sunday, if this suits the booked participants.
- Your debet/credit card will not be charged until the required number of participants havae booked. The booking amount will be authorized and blocked and if the booking request is confirmed we will charge the amount on your card.
You will get the PDF tickets by email once the booking request is confirmed. - This tour can also be booked at a different time than our scheduled departures.

| * As this tour is also offered to guests staying at the neighbouring hotels, we change location first of all to an area that is pleasant to paddle in regard to prevailing weather conditions, secondly to a location near where the guests are staying. |
As we may have to change location due to prevailing weather conditions you will receive a notification about the exact meeting point on the day prior to departure.
After a safety demonstration the guide will assist you in fitting the equipment. When kayaks have been launched and everyone is seated you will have an introduction to basic paddle techniques.
At lunch time we will alight the kayaks to strech the legs and you will be served a hot soup. Upon returning you will feel energized and more confident in the kayak, and the guide can assist you in improving your paddle skills.
After placing the kayaks on the rack we end the tour with some stretching and a smile.
Soft adventure
We have planned the tour so that previous experience of kayaking is not necessary. Safety, comfort and enjoyment are our guiding principles as we plan and implement our tours. In the winter months, the pace is even slower to avoid sweating, thus getting cold.
Drysuit
We will contact you about your measurements in order to allocate the best fitting drysuit. You will receive a pdf with useful information about what to wear under the drysuit, and what might be suitable to bring in terms of extra layer to wear during the meal break.
